Second Spring School for Graduate Students
In collaboration with the Library Cooperation Group of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities, the M. Maksymovych Scientific Library is organising the second Spring School for postgraduate students and early-career researchers.
The course will be delivered in a blended format:
- 29 April — online and offline
- 30 April — online
This year’s main theme is research data management: ‘Who should prepare research data? The role of the researcher, the library and the university’.
The topics are organised into two modules:
Module 1: Open research data: technical, ethical and legal aspects
Module 2: Research data management

- Tetyana BULANA ‘Artificial Intelligence and Copyright’
- ‘the right to commercialise scientific developments’;
- Vladyslava KACHKOVSKA «Open scientific data and research data management: ethical challenges in modern science»;
- Olena GERASIMOVA ‘Why doesn’t open data work? Technical barriers from Excel to the repository’;
- Oleksandr Shevchuk‘The Data Management Plan as a Tool for Overcoming Barriers’;
- Oleg SHILYUK ‘Data Citation and the Academic Visibility of Research’;
Maximilian HEBER (University of Konstanz) ‘Research Data Management Across Disciplines: The Experience of German Universities’.
Upon completing the course and passing the test, all registered participants, who have passed the test with 80% correct answers, will receive certificates. Important! Certificates are only available to participants from universities belonging to the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities.
