Autumn University-wide Open Day
On Saturday, 11 October 2025, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted its autumn university-wide open day, KNU EXPO. The M. Maksymovych Scientific Library, headed by Marina Zhenchenko, Doctor of Social Communications, Professor, and Director, traditionally joined this large-scale event.
The library location in the Red Building was visited by applicants, their parents, our friends and colleagues, as well as anyone interested in studying at the University. Visitors had the opportunity to take photos in a themed photo zone, where moments from the library’s past and present were recreated in the form of photographic film. Everyone who wished to do so took part in a tour of the central library building, led by Olga Petrenko, head of the cultural and educational department. She told guests about the library’s activities and showed them the reading rooms, book storage and modern public spaces.
We sincerely thank Rector Volodymyr Bugrov for his initiative in holding this important event, as well as the KNU Communications Centre team led by Volodymyr Litvinenko and everyone involved for their long-term organisational work.
