ONLINE LECTURE BY RMU AT THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE No. 37
‘Scientific Data Management: European Experience and Ukrainian Realities’
On 13 September 2025, a lecture entitled ‘Scientific Data Management: European Experience and Ukrainian Realities’ was given by Marina Zhenchenko, Director of the M. Maksymovych Scientific Library and Professor at the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The focus was on modern approaches to scientific data management as an important element of open science development. The lecturer presented European experience, in particular the FAIR principles, the European Open Science Cloud initiative, as well as institutional and national data management strategies.
The Ukrainian context was considered separately: recommendations from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, practical advice on data description and preservation, selection of repositories, and verification of data compliance with international standards.
The event became a platform for discussing current challenges and opportunities for integrating Ukrainian science into the global open science space.
